FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of high-speed throwing from a barrelled powder ballistic plant they use two powder charges divided by a gas impermeable piston. The rear charge is placed in the charging chamber. The front charge is placed in the barrel between the piston and the thrown object. The method of high speed throwing consists in performance of the rear charge with the combustion time that is more than in the front charge, initiation of the front charge, overspeeding of the thrown object under action of pressure of combustion products against initiation of the front charge, initiation of the rear charge with the specified delay relative to the time of initiation of the front charge, displacement of the piston under action of pressure of combustion products of the rear charge, and as it exceeds the pressure of combustion products of the front charge.
EFFECT: production of high initial speeds of a thrown object.
