FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to abrasive processing of materials with the use of lubricant-coolant and can be used in external, centerless, flat and other grinding processes. Grinding wheel is composed of stepped disc with central mount bore. Ring with outer cylindrical surface is fitted with interference on smaller diameter wheel step. Ring diameter is smaller than that of worn-out wheel, its diameter being aligned with wheel rotational axis. Ring height equals than of smaller diameter wheel step to allow fit wedge-cavity blocks with minimum clearance there between, said cavities decreasing in wheel rotational direction to cause oscillation of said wheel at forcing lubricant-coolant of hydrodynamic wedges.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of damping oscillations of grinding wheels.
