FIELD: machine engineering, namely grinding blanks. SUBSTANCE: lubricating and cooling liquid is fed to ends of grinding wheel from nozzles. Along pore ducts of grinding wheel liquid by action of centrifugal efforts is supplied to grinding zone. Ultrasonic amplitude-modulated oscillations are applied to waveguide of wedge-shaped nozzle. Such ultrasonic signal causes significantly increased size range of bubbles taking part in cavitation process. It increases period of grinding wheel strength. EFFECT: increased strength and enhanced efficiency of grinding wheel, improved quality parameters of ground parts due to intensified process of impregnating abrasive wheel with liquid. 2 dwg
