FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: sheet of electroconductive paper is placed on a board. A long solenoid is passed through an opening in the board. One gauge in a set of gauges sits on the long solenoid through its opening and is placed on the sheet of electroconductive paper and fixed by a fixing device. The common contact of a two-way switch is connected to the first lead of a voltmeter with high input resistance. The fixed contact is attached to the sheet of electroconductive paper and is connected to the second lead of the voltmeter with high input resistance. A probe is connected to the first contact of the switch. Windings of the indicator coil encircle the long solenoid under the board. The first lead of the coil is connected to the second lead of the voltmeter with high input resistance, and the second lead is connected to the second contact of the two-way switch.
EFFECT: simulating circulation of the eddy electric field vector in different closed loops.
