FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: small sheets of electroconductive paper form resistances R/2, R, 2R and are placed on a board. Pairs of electrodes with a rectangular cross-section for each small sheet of electroconductive paper are placed at opposite sides of said sheets. A curvilinear four-corner sheet of electroconductive paper is formed by crossing two concentric circles and two radial lines and is placed on a board. The first lead of a voltmeter with high input resistance is connected to the second lead of an ammeter and the second lead is connected to a probe. The common contact of a switch is connected to the second lead of the ammeter and the other contacts are connected to the first electrodes of the large, small and curvilinear four-corner sheets of electroconductive paper, respectively. The second electrodes of all said sheets of electroconductive paper are connected to one of the end contacts of a potentiometer. A circular ring is made of dielectric with a marking on internal and external outlines, sits on one of the electrodes with a circular cross-section and is placed on a large sheet of electroconductive paper. Strips made of dielectric with a marking on both sides are placed symmetrically between electrodes on all sheets of electroconductive paper.
EFFECT: simple design and high accuracy of measurements.
