FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: two rectangular electrodes are placed at opposite sides of a rectangular sheet of electroconductive paper. The first electrode is connected to a potentiometer slider and the second electrode is connected to one of the end contacts of the potentiometer. The first lead of a voltmeter is connected to the second electrode and the second lead is connected to the top end of a probe. A guide rod is placed on the right side of a rectangular board parallel to a fixed line and a slider is placed on said guide rod. One end of a movable line is rigidly attached to the slider and the second end lies on the fixed line. A slider moves on the movable line, said slider having a vertical hole for the lower end of the probe and a mark for reading the position of the probe on the movable line. A bar is mounted on the slider perpendicular to the movable line and its second end has a vertical hole and is mounted on a movable support. A felt-tipped pen is spring-loaded and movably mounted in the vertical hole on the bar perpendicular to a document paper sheet.
EFFECT: simple design.
