FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: string acoustic musical instrument has an inner housing consisting of upper and lower soundboards, sides, a heel, saddles and strings. The inner housing is placed in another (outer) larger housing, having the same shape as the inner housing and having only the lower soundboard and side, wherein an air gap is formed between the sides of both housings, as well as between lower soundboards thereof.
EFFECT: improved sound characteristics when using said instrument.
