SUBSTANCE: method involves detection of a mobile station by a first base station and a first gateway and further handover to a second base station connected to the first gateway, selecting a second gateway connected to the mobile station and detecting the mobile station by the second gateway, ceasing detection of the mobile station at the first gateway and handing over the mobile station to a third base station connected to the second gateway but not the first gateway.
EFFECT: reduced delay and easier end-to-end handover procedure.
