FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing oil involves crushing Sophora japonica L seeds to particle size of 3 mm. The seeds are collected in October. Further, the seeds are extracted with chemically pure petroleum ether while heating three times for 30 minutes with volume ratio of solvent to material of 5:1. The solvent is then evaporated, the oil is treated while cooling with ethanol, followed by evaporation thereof.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain oil from pagoda tree seeds with high content of n-docosanoic acid and other biologically active components using a simple method and increases oil output.
