FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: method of fire extinguishing using a land-borne appliance and a fire helicopter. The helicopter is equipped with additional tank for water intake from natural sources and droop position, a storage tank with a switch valve. The storage tank of the fire appliance is equipped from above with a rectangular double- flap roof with the possibility of automated control of the state of its flaps for filling the tanks with water from the additional tank of the helicopter. When expenditure of water from the storage tank and the absence of water sources which are available for the machine, the fire and ejector pumps are switched off, the pressure hose is disconnected from the ejector pump. The hose with empty additional tank is connected to the cable, lowered them together to the land-borne appliance. The pressure hose is disconnected from the cable and the empty additional tank is transferred by the helicopter to the natural water source available for the helicopter and water intake by the additional tank is carried out. The filled additional tank is delivered by the helicopter to the land-borne appliance, the storage tank of the land-borne appliance is filled with water through the open roof flaps, the pressure hose is connected to the cable with the empty additional tank and they are raised together to the helicopter. The pressure hose is disconnected from the cable, it is joined through the switch valve with the ejector pump and the storage tank and fire extinguishing is continued.

EFFECT: fire extinguishing using the proposed method enables to fill the storage tank, to reduce the number of machines involved in fire extinguishing.
