FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ammunition, and namely to ammunition of irritant action. The latter includes a case with an initiation device, power propellant charge and missile munition - a grenade. Grenade includes a housing, the main pyrotechnic element with a through central channel, which is fixed in the housing, an igniter of the main pyrotechnic element and a rear bottom with a central hole. The central channel represents pressed mixture of the main pyrotechnic composition with an irritant. The igniter of the main pyrotechnic element is made in the form of two igniting pyrotechnic elements of cylindrical shape, which represent pressed ignition compositions. The first igniting pyrotechnic element is fixed on an end face part of the main pyrotechnic element along the whole of its surface on the side of rear bottom with a gap in relation to the bottom. The second igniting pyrotechnic element is fixed inside the central channel of the main pyrotechnic element with complete filling of the central channel volume. Linear combustion velocity of the igniting pyrotechnic element filling the central channel of the main pyrotechnic element exceeds linear combustion velocity of the main pyrotechnic element by 5-10 times.
