Abstract RU 2260167 C2

FIELD: smoke grenades for laying smoke screens, camouflage and protection of ground armament objects and war materiel against ammunition with optical and electronic guidance means.

SUBSTANCE: proposed grenade has casing with pile of circular disk-shaped smoke tablets with through longitudinal passage forming common central passage, retarder with igniter, propelling charge and initiating unit. Each tablet is provided with at least two radial slots on one of ends between passage and outer cylindrical surface; it includes solid layer which is fastened with smoke-generating compound and is directed to passage, slots and outer cylindrical surface and is laid between layers of smoke-generating compound on side of ends at depth of slots; this layer is burning in snow at rate exceeding rate of burning of smoke-generating compound. This grenade ensures powerful smoking, fast laying of smoke screens and camouflage of ground armament objects and war materiel against destruction weapon.
