FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic data and can be used in archeology to identify the boundaries of archaeological sites. Substance: using a square observation network they measure magnetic susceptibility of the surface soil layer. They build an isolines map of the magnetic susceptibility. They identify on the map the conjugate sections of high and low values of the magnetic susceptibility of geometrically regular shape. They build contours of archaeological sites, taking high values of the magnetic susceptibility for external sides of the objects, and lower values - for the inner sides of these objects.
EFFECT: improving efficiency of searching for archaeological sites in areas with high levels of magnetic and electromagnetic interference, reducing search time and significant depreciation of the mapping method.
