FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to field of sports medicine and physiology, and also deals with andrology and social hygiene. Circumferences of chest, waist and pelvis, as well as height are measured in cm. After that, index of physical development IPD is determined by ratio of the sum of measured circumferences to height by formula: IPD=(Ch+W+P):H, where IPD is index of physical development, Ch is chest circumference, cm, W is waist circumference, cm, P is pelvis circumference, cm, H is height, cm. If IPD value is lower than 1.6, conclusion about domination of transverse dimensions over longitudinal ones is made. If IPD value is in the interval 1.54-1.7, medium development of transverse parameters is determined, if IPD value is lower than 1.54, weak development is determined, and if IPD value is higher than 1.7 - strong development of transverse parameters is determined.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to identify degrees of physical development by ratio of longitudinal and transverse parameters of male body.
