SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, therapy and endocrinology, and can be used to predict an individual risk of developing cerebrovascular pathology for 5 years in individuals with overweight and obesity at age of 50-65 years. Presence of arterial hypertension is detected. Blood plasma levels of glucose and triglycerides are determined. Triglycerides/glucose index is calculated. Waist and hip circumference is measured with calculation of their ratio. Using the obtained data according to the original formula, the probability of developing cerebrovascular pathology (P) is calculated. If P is 0.701 or more, a high risk of developing cerebrovascular diseases is predicted in individuals for 5 years at age of 50-65 years. If P is less than 0.701, a low risk of developing the disease is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides high accuracy of prediction of development of cerebrovascular diseases in individuals for 5 years at age of 50-65 years with overweight and obesity.
