SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for hardening part surfaces in free-granulated fluid. Rattler is made up of multi-start screw column with part loading/unloading means. Said rattler is composed by sections to make three and more LH and RH helical zigzag lines at inner perimetre and inner three and more equal-pitch helical grooves. Sections consist of two subsections composed by three and more isosceles trapeziums and isosceles triangles with interconnected lateral sides and bases in subsection are opposed. Sections are interconnected by larger bases of trapeziums while subsections are integrated in section so that bases of isosceles triangles of one subsection are connected to top base of second subsection isosceles trapeziums. Note that bases of isosceles triangles of second subsection are connected to top base of first subsection isosceles trapeziums.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and intensity of mixing.
