FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for grinding, polishing and hardening of surface layer of parts in freely granulated abrasive medium. Device comprises a drum with a drive installed on the bed and made of sections with devices for loading and unloading of parts. Drum is made of sections, which are mounted from two subsets identical in size and shape, made in form of hollow quadrangular prisms, bases of which are turned relative to each other along central axis 0₁-0₁ subsections by 45°, with formation along the perimeter of hollow subsections of four rectilinear lines, four internal helical grooves and four smooth curvilinear surfaces of one direction. When connecting the sections to each other, the quadrangular bases of each subsequent hollow subsection are turned relative to the previous hollow subsection along the section axis by angle of 45°.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of processing, broader technological capabilities and simplified manufacturing of device.
