FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for multi-step thermal treatment of rubber wastes for extracting carbon black, which involves steps of transporting solid material in form of a granular product obtained from rubber wastes into three different series-arranged heating zones in a reactor (10). In heating zones (11a, 11b, 11c) the solid material is heated at a first temperature of 100-200°C, preferably 150-180°C, then at a second temperature of 200-350°C, and then at a third temperature of 300-600°C. Corresponding temperatures are maintained in corresponding heating zones until release of oil stops completely. During the final step, the solid material is extracted from the reactor (10) and desired solid materials are separated. The invention also relates to carbon black and apparatus for multi-step thermal treatment of rubber wastes.
EFFECT: obtaining carbon black of high purity as a solid end product.
