FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical and rubber industry. Method of producing soot from rubber wastes includes thermal decomposition thereof, separation of decomposition products into steam-gas products and solid carbon residue, milling carbon residue to particle size 0.1-2.0 mm, burning vapour-gas products with milled solid carbon residue at a weight ratio of 1:(0.1-2). Device for producing soot from rubber wastes comprises reactor (4) with output (7) for carbon residue, connected to screw heat exchanger (28), magnetic separator (33), grinder (35), conveyor (36), hopper (37) with metering device (38), shell and tube heat exchanger (39) and vortex burner (45), installed in end of cylindrical furnace (26) along axis of combustion chamber (27). Lead (7′) for vapour-gas products from reactor (4) is connected directly to burners (24, 25) of cylindrical furnace (26) installed tangentially and diametrically opposite in combustion chamber (27). Lead (7′) is also connected to heat exchanger (39) of hopper (37) with metering device (38) and vortex burner (45).
EFFECT: invention increases output of soot by burning vapour-gas product fraction, which was not been condensed, and preventing condensation of water vapour.
