FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: plant to determine elastic constants of fissile materials under higher temperatures comprises sound guides equipped with acoustic insulators, between the ends of the sound guides there is a sample from a fissile material, and on the opposite ends there are piezoelectric converters connected with a generator and recording equipment. The sample and a part of sound guides are surrounded by a heater, and they are placed into a vacuum chamber, at the same time the sample is connected with a thermocouple, the vacuum working chamber is placed into a tight glove box and has a cooling jacket and paths of cooling with running water.
EFFECT: provision of the possibility to perform ultrasonic resonant tests of fissile materials under higher temperatures, production of values of normal elasticity module and Poisson's ratio depending on temperature, with simultaneous protection of personnel and environment against action of tested fissile materials.
