FIELD: quality inspection of materials of single-layer coats and layers of composite coats in wide range of temperatures. SUBSTANCE: method determining physical and mechanical properties of material carrying coat consists in excitation of vibrations in heated specimen, in establishment of modulus of elasticity of tested layer of specimen. Judgment on properties of material is made by difference of moduli of elasticity of tested layers of material. In addition density of starting material is found by hydrostatic weighing, specimen is heated, coefficient of linear thermal expansion of material is determined by dilatometric method of heated specimen, longitudinal vibrations are excited in starting heated specimen and modulus of elasticity is established. Then specimen is cooled, tested layer of material of coat is applied, density of material with applied coat is found by hydrostatic weighing, specimen with applied coat is heated, coefficient of linear thermal expansion of heated specimen with applied coat is determined by dilatometric method, longitudinal vibrations are excited and modulus of elasticity of tested applied layer of coat is determined by computation. Then next layer is applied on specimen and operations required for determination of modulus of elasticity of material of applied layer of coat are repeated. EFFECT: simplified method of determination of moduli of elasticity of coats, increased accuracy of measurement of parameters related to modulus of elasticity, its temperature dependence in particular. 1 dwg
