METHOD OF DIAGNOSING STRUCTURAL AND HEMOGYNAMIC CHANGES IN TRIGGER POINTS IN PATIENTS WITH LUMBODYNIAS AT EXACERBATION STAGE Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B8/06

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology and ultrasound diagnostics. In patient, who is in lying on abdomen position, trigger point is identified in lumbar spine by means of palpation with its further ultrasound scanning in horizontal and sagittal planes by multi-frequency linear sensor in "B" mode. Scanning of paravertebral muscles in symmetrical sections on counterlateral side is performed for comparison. If section of local thickening of muscular tissue with reduction of echogenicity, impairment of muscular tissue architectonics, increase of echogenicity of intermuscular fascia, increase of energy signal intensity and increase of rate indices of arterial blood flow is identified in trigger points by the data of PDI scanning mode, structural and hemodynamic changes in trigger points are diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase reliability of diagnostics, which is achieved due to identification of structural changes in trigger zones.
