METHOD OF TREATING PATIENTS WITH MYOFASCIAL PAIN ACCOMPANYING LOCOMOTOR PATHOLOGIES Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61H7/00

Abstract RU 2541757 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves moving a musculocutaneous fold (MCF) for the exposure on cutaneous and myofascial regions by fulling, traction, twisting, compression, rotation of the MCF with mobilising the fascia above and below the joint. These exposures cover the myofascial regions of the extremity in a projection of fascial muscular cases, fascial intermuscular septums and fascial beds for neurovascular beams, as well as regions of tendinous attachment. The exposure covers longitudinally directed myofascial structures of the extremity transversally and in the opposite direction from patient's active rotations about a long axis of the extremity with contracting the agonistic muscles and synergists in the joints, whereon the exposed regions are arranged. The exposure is limited to a highest possible physiological barrier with keeping it for 3-5 seconds by both a doctor, and a patient. Similarly, the myofascial regions and tendons of the opposite extremity involved in a walking pattern are exposed, wherein the lower extremity is opposite to a hand on the opposite side of body. The therapeutic course makes 3-5 session, 1 session 1-2 times a week.

EFFECT: effective recovery of the range of joint motions, complete recovery of the muscular contractility and myotatic reflex taking into account the myofascial relations of various groups of the muscles of the extremities: agonistic, synergist and antagonistic with reducing the number of therapeutic sessions, and length thereof, eliminating the drug-induced exposure.
