FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: seals are produced as combination inserts composed of metal substrate, protective diffusion layer applied on the latter in contact with ring groove surface and sealing ceramic material applied on substrate surface opposite the blades. Said seals are fitted in stator ring grooves. Metal substrate is made with protective diffusion layer applied on its surface in contact with stator ring groove by application of protective paste consisting of binder component in amount of 63 wt %, filler making the rest. Metal substrate thus made is subjected to heat treatment to apply cermet sealing material on substrate surface facing the rotor blades by plasma evaporation.
EFFECT: reduced deformation, ease of replacement and high wear resistance.
