METHOD FOR EXECUTION OF REPAIR WORKS ON PIPELINE USING RUBBER-CORD SEALER Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC F16L55/12 

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: hole for output of rubber-cord sealer pneumatic pipeline is drilled on the wall of repaired section of the pipeline. Rubber-cord sealer is installed in inner cavity of the pipeline with pneumatic pipeline being output. Rubber-cord sealer shell is filled with operating gas, nitrogen or air for instance, to operating pressure. Then gas operating pressure is increased up to value of 1.25 from operating pressure, and increased pressure is maintained for at least 15 minutes with subsequent pressure reduction to operating pressure. Repair works are performed maintaining operating pressure of operating gas during the whole period of repair works. Then pressure in rubber-cord sealer shell is dropped to atmospheric pressure, pneumatic pipeline is removed from the hole, the hole is plugged, rubber-cord sealer is removed.

EFFECT: simplifying execution of repair works on pipeline and providing high level of repair works safety.
