FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method proceeds from the analysis of historical series of radon volumetric activity in active rooms to reveal the dependence of specific ingress of radon per air volume unit into room on atmospheric air temperature difference there inside and outside. Said analysis allows estimation of prevailing type of radon ingress into room. It can be a diffusion type (no dependence on temperature difference) or a convective type (increase in ingress rate with increase in temperature difference). Simultaneous measurements of time dependence of radon volumetric activity and temperature difference between building enclosure and ambient atmosphere allow estimating such parameter of the building as effective area of leakage.
EFFECT: higher precision of identification.
