FIELD: evaluation of radon-hazardous territories in process of engineering and ecological investigations, search for uranium ore with use of nuclear-physical methods. SUBSTANCE: volumetric activity of radon is simultaneously measured in two points spaced apart by 0.2 to 1.0 m. Measurement in one point is taken at depth h1 from 0.2 to 0.5 m, measurement in the other point is taken at depth h2 = 2h1, and then steady-state equiponderant volumetric activity of radon is established.
