SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and a device for determining air exchange rate in space. Method of determining ACH air exchange rate in space includes steps, at which for at least two consecutive time periods Dk corresponding to different charges qk of the predetermined gas used in space, measurement operation is carried out, allowing to determine the concentration Cik gas inside the space with similar time intervals, and the concentration Cek gas space is determined with similar time intervals. Value of the air exchange rate ACH in space is determined by providing convergence: on the one hand, the diffusion model that expresses a temporary change in the concentration of Cik gas inside the space as a function of the concentration Cek gas out of space, and the physical parameters of space, of which parameters ACH air exchange velocity in the space can be calculated, and on the other hand, the measured change Cik(t) at a concentration of Cik gas inside the space as a function of time.

EFFECT: technical result is faster determination of air exchange rate in space.
