FIELD: meteorology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of meteorology and can be used to determine coefficient of turbulent diffusion in surface layer of atmosphere. Essence: measure the volumetric activity of radon simultaneously at two heights: 0.5–2 m from the surface of the earth and at least 10 m from the surface of the earth. Taking into account the values obtained, the coefficient of turbulent diffusion in the surface layer of the atmosphere is calculated.
EFFECT: determination of the coefficient of turbulent diffusion in the surface layer of the atmosphere.
