SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely andrology and neurology, and may be used for differential diagnosis of an overactive bladder genesis in males suffering an urological and neurological disorder. That is ensured by a Doppler ultrasonography (DUS) of prostate and bladder neck vessels. A combination of the α-adreno- and m-cholinolytic preparations is administered in a therapeutic dose. Another DUS is performed 1 hour later. That is followed by calculating an integrated index of the prostate and bladder neck blood flow before and after administration of the preparations. A rate of integrated index enlargement after administration of the preparations is calculated. If the rate of integrated index enlargement is less than 10%, a neurogenic cause of overactive bladder is diagnosed. If the rate of integrated index enlargement is 20% or more, a non-neurogenic cause of overactive bladder is stated.

EFFECT: method provides more accurate differential diagnosis of the neurogenic and non-neurogenic causes of overactive bladder ensured by the analysis of a vesicourethral hemodynamic reserve, and enables choosing a targeted therapeutic approach to overactive bladder in males suffering an urological and neurological disorder.
