In patients with complaints of awakening one or more times a night for the purpose of urinating, the duration and quality of night sleep are recorded at a time, daily urine output is measured by the frequency of mictions and their volume, divided into night and day. Also, the specific gravity of urine in the daytime and at night is determined using a sample according to Zimnitsky. Then one should determine the circadian rhythm of the specific gravity of urine and urine output. Based on the data obtained, differential diagnosis of nocturia is carried out.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase screening efficiency and simplify the differential diagnosis of nocturia by determining the deviations of circadian fluctuations in the specific gravity of urine and urine output, determined by analyzing the results of simultaneous urination diary and urine analysis according to Zimnitsky, taking into account the duration and quality of night sleep.
