FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for differential diagnosis of chronic prostatitis. That is ensured by microscopy of prostatic secretion and determined the content of white blood cells. Cytomorphological accessory of white blood cells: neutrophils or lymphocytes is then analyzed by electron microscopy. If neutrophils are more than 10 in prostate secretion in the visual field, chronic bacterial prostatitis is diagnosed. If observing a lymphocyte in a prostate secretion greater than 10 in the visual field, a chronic abacterial prostatitis is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of differential diagnosis of infectious or non-infectious chronic prostatitis and reduced number of recurrences in patients.
