FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing high-emissivity quartz ceramic involves preparing an aqueous clinker of quartz glass, adding a chromium oxide additive to the clinker in amount of 0.5-2.0%, moulding workpieces by aqueous slip casting in gypsum moulds, drying the workpieces and firing at temperature of 1100-1300°C. After firing, the workpieces are saturated with methylphenylspirosiloxane, followed by polymerisation.
EFFECT: low water absorption and high strength and emissivity of articles.
