SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to produce items from quartz ceramics, including slip casting of water suspension into a gypsum mould, drying of the moulded stock, its impregnation with organosilicic resin, mechanical treatment of the stock into size, its repeated impregnation by organosilicic resin and polymerisation. Drying of the moulded stock is carried out at 120-150°C for 1-2 hours. After impregnation of the stock with organosilicic resin it is thermally treated at 1000-1200°C for 1-4 hours.

EFFECT: increased strength and reduced porosity of items from quartz ceramics with preservation of other characteristics at high level.
