FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. Metal chloride powder or powder mix of at least two metal chlorides are processed in atmosphere of steam fed into reaction space at the rate of 50-100 ml/min at 400-800°C over activated carbon or at feed of carbon oxide (H) resulted from decomposition of formic acid HCOOH to reaction space.
EFFECT: reliable production of powders from metals or alloys of 3d series of metals ie Ni, Co, Cu, Fe, Zn.
