SUBSTANCE: gas turbine has a compressor assembly with at least one section with variable geometry, a combustion chamber and a turbine assembly; according to the proposed method, a flow rate setpoint value of fuel supplied to the combustion chamber is generated based on the required speed of the gas turbine; threshold values are calculated to maintain the fuel flow rate setpoint value in the specified range. Threshold values depend on thermodynamic state of the gas turbine, and position of the section with variable geometry is controlled by the actuating mechanism control depending on difference between information (XVG) of the position, which characterises an instantaneous position, and information of the setpoint position. Threshold values are automatically controlled by real-time calculation depending on information of the instantaneous position of the section with variable geometry, or difference (εXVG) between that information of detected position and information of the setpoint position.
EFFECT: optimising threshold values, which reduces risk of stalling or extinction.
