FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical industry and may be used to operate a set of accumulator batteries (AB), primarily nickel-hydrogen or lithium-ion, in autonomous power supply systems of spacecrafts (SC) from the common source of limited capacity via individual charge converters with monitoring of current condition of charge and limitation of charge by an onboard control complex. Additionally they monitor minimum levels of charge current, and whenever charge current of any accumulator battery drops below the established value, the charge of the entire set of accumulator batteries is stopped. Charging of the set of accumulator batteries continues in turns and with charge duration of each accumulator battery based on the following ratio: Ti=T/(Ci·Σ1/Ci), min, where Ti - time to charge i accumulator battery, min; T - selected period of time for alternate charge of the entire set of accumulator batteries, min; Ci - current capacity of i accumulator battery, A·hr.
EFFECT: higher reliability and efficiency of operation of a set of accumulator batteries.
