SUBSTANCE: prohibition of charge and preventive discharge are made before commencement of orbital eclipse period, at that discharge capacitance is evaluated with respect to its sufficiency for the next orbital eclipse periods; when required preventive discharge is repeated.
EFFECT: increase of reliability and efficiency of operation for the pack of nickel-hydrogen batteries and reliability of satellites intended use.
