SUBSTANCE: control unit of an induction heating unit controls an AC power supply lead to a heating coil of the induction heating unit of cross type, which makes it possible for AC magnetic field cross the surface of the conducting sheet that moves for inducting heating of the conducting sheet. The control unit comprises: a switch to recover magnetic energy, which discharges AC power supply to a heating coil; a unit of frequency setting, which sets the output frequency in response to at least one of relative permeability, resistance and thickness of the conducting sheet; a unit of gate control, which controls operation of switching of the magnetic energy recovery switch on the basis of the output frequency specified by the unit of frequency setting.
