FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in data transmission systems for serial transmission of data with adaptive correction of channel-induced distortions at the receiving side. At the receiving side, for each information unit, cyclic redundancy checksum (CRC), which is added at the end of the unit, is calculated, after which the data unit with CRC is encoded and transmitted to a modulator which generates an analogue signal which is transmitted over a communication channel, wherein a probing (test) signal is absent in the transmitted signal; at the receiving side, the signal is transmitted to a correcting filter and then to a demodulator and a decoder, after which the decoded data undergo CRC, and if the checksum matches, a data sequence is transmitted to a message recipient, and in the current code unit after restoring distorted bits, a segment is searched, which is suitable, based on spectral properties, as a test segment for calculating channel pulse characteristics and parameters of the correcting filter.
EFFECT: avoiding the need to frequently transmit probing signals to adjust a correcting filter and, as a result, high rate of transmitting information.
