FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agricultural harvesters. The method includes the steps of using the chamber on the harvester for image capture of at least a part of the container, processing the image data and using the data relative to position for automatic movement of the unloading device relative to the harvester in a predetermined position relative to the container. The stage of data processing comprises selection of image data out of captured images, relating to the vertical strip on the left and/or right side of the discharge device, filtering the data on distance for each vertical position, analysis of sequence of the filtered values of the distance to obtain out of them of the vertical position of the near and/or distant upper edge of the container. The predetermined relative position is a position in which the unloading device directs the collected crop to a position above the near upper edge and/or under the distant upper edge. The harvester is equipped with an unloading device for unloading materials of crop into the container. The container moves near the harvester, and a 3D camera is mounted in connection with the harvester, comprising a control means.
EFFECT: possibility of more effective and simplified control of the filling process is ensured.
