FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary internal combustion engine containing a cylinder, a working shaft, a rotor, a block valve, left and right side covers. The cylinder has a peripheral cylinder wall provided with the valve horizontal recess. The working shaft passes concentrically through the cylinder. The rotor includes a rotor basement, rotor basement surrounding wall and a rotor blade. The rotor is installed coaxially and is rigidly attached to the working shaft. The block valve has upper end, lower end and two side ends. Each side cover has one of two longitudinal valve recesses. When the block valve is inserted into the cylinder, both side ends of the block valve are backed up tightly by two longitudinal valve recesses, the block valve upper end is backed up tightly by horizontal valve recess, and block valve lower end is in tight contact with rotor basement surrounding wall. Right after rotor blade passes the block valve location, the block valve enters the cylinder space to occlude the cylinder space in radial direction. Compressed air and fuel or gas mixture from air and fuel are injected into occluded space which is a combustion chamber.
EFFECT: enhancement of engine efficiency.
