FIELD: packing industry.
SUBSTANCE: forming element is intended for volume control for package formed out of package material sleeve and sealed in several sleeve sections perpendicular to the main sleeve axis. The element includes main wall capable of cyclic interaction with the first part of sleeve running between two sequential sections, and at least one flap running along the main wall. The flap moves against the wall between a first position where it interacts with the second sleeve part running between two sequential sections in order to control volume between sequential sections of package formed, and a second position where the package is separated from the second part. Additionally the forming element includes tensile elements shifting the flap into one of the two positions, and engagement surface attached functionally to the flap and engaging a control element to shift the flap to another first or second position against elastic devices. The flap is attached to wall around second axis with articulated joint. In addition, the forming element includes a case with engagement surface, attached to the wall by articulated joint around a third axis different from the second axis and displaced against engagement surface, and linking element positioned between the case and flap so that the flap turns around the second axis when the case turns around the third axis. Package module includes two clamps moving in cycles between closed configuration when they grip and sold a sleeve in several transverse sections, and open configuration when they separate themselves from the sleeve. Each clamp features a forming element described above, and is attached to it so that when the clamps are closed, main walls of respective forming elements engage with respective first parts of sleeve, and respective flaps shift between first and second positions. Method of package forming involves activation of cyclic interaction of two main walls of respective forming elements described above with respective first parts of a sleeve between two sequential sections, at least one flap positioned along respective wall. Flap of at least one of forming elements is shifted against the wall from initial position where it is separated from the sleeve, to operation position where it engages the second part of sleeve running between two sequential sections, and rotation of the case attached by joints to a forming element wall is converted into flap rotation. Another method of package forming differs from the first one by involving movement of each main wall against respective clamp. Forming unit includes two clamps described above in a package module. Each clamp has a forming element described above.
EFFECT: enhanced monitoring of package volume along with simplified forming.
