FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: rotary compressor comprises circular cylinder block with pistons fitted therein, piston reciprocation drive and valve gear. Valve gear forces gas in and discharge it from chambers formed between cylinders and pistons. Pistons and cylinders are composed by hollow barrels with bottom and shell, said pistons being fitted by their open ends inside said cylinders with guaranteed clearance between shells of cylinder and pistons. Said clearances and, partially, said chambers are filled with fluid. With cylinder block rotating, said fluid compensate for difference in gas pressure inside pistons and pressure acting to fluid surface in said clearances owing to difference in static pressures of fluid columns in chambers and clearances.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
