FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to rill tools with active and passive elements and to their production. Drill tool comprises body with end surface at its distal end and gaging regions. The latter comprises several blades extending longitudinally upward. Besides it includes shank and transition surface. The latter includes a skew made between OD at top end of appropriate gaging area and shank Besides, it comprises upward boring element composed by the part with transition surface extending from the point abutting on transition edge between and appropriate gaging area and having passive location at downward boring and active position at upward boring or well shaft expansion from bottom to top. Proposed method comprises producing drill tool body including active and passive regions at downward boring. Note here that region comprises body parts distal relative to transition edge. Note here that passive region comprises body parts proximal relative to transition edge. Said passive region is active at upward boring. Upward boring element is arranged in passive region at fastening plate or upward boring element is produced integral with said fastening plate to be attached to passive region.

EFFECT: decreased wear of gaging and passive region.
