SUBSTANCE: method of applying lacquer on security papers is described, particularly on security papers printed by intaglio method, such as banknotes, in which both sides of the security papers are covered with protective lacquer. The method includes the stage of applying a thick layer of protective lacquer on the security paper side, which has a greater surface roughness, mainly on the side opposite the side of the security papers, to which the image was applied the last time by intaglio method.
EFFECT: proposed method provides an optimal lacquer application on both sides of the printed security papers.
