SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway communication. The centralised passenger address system comprises, at the control centre, an information server connected to the software-hardware of the information control system for centralised control of railway traffic and to the transport network. The system also includes automated operator and administrator workstations. Each station and each halt platform has an IP packet-switched local area network, also connected to the transport network. The local area network is connected to a control server, a station operator panel, emergency speakers, information boards, decoders, a controlled central traffic control station, as well as devices for controlling message generation. The system includes alarm devices, public-address amplifiers connected to alarm feeders loaded at loudspeakers, analysing devices, a control signal generator and controlled switches.
