FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of production of anti-friction additives and lubricating compositions for application in units of rolling and sliding friction in automobile, machine-building, textile, chemical and other branches of industry. Potassium titanate powder consists of layered scale-shaped particles of submicron size, intercalated with ions of, at least, one transition metal. Potassium titanate particles can be simultaneously intercalated with ions of, at least, one transition metal and one type of surface-active substance. Lubricating composition contains anti-friction additive and lubricating material, basic plastic lubrication or basic mineral, semisynthetic or synthetic oil can serve as the latter. Potassium titanate powder, consisting of layered scale-shaped particles of submicron size, intercalated ions of, at least, one transition metal, is used as anti-friction additive, with the following component ratio, wt %: potassium titanate powder 0.3-12.0, basic lubricating material 88.0-99.7.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve tribological properties of potassium titanate, reduce friction coefficient and increase mobility of layers, forming its particles, as well as to reduce degree of agglomeration of said particles.
