SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to apparatuses and methods for optical coherence tomography. An apparatus comprises two dispersion compensation units arranged on a reference light path and having different ratios of group velocity dispersion within the above band of wavelengths, as well as a computer-readable carrier. Each of the ratios of group velocity dispersion is a ratio of the group velocity dispersion and water group velocity dispersion. The first ratio of the group velocity dispersion is more inversely related to a wavelength than the second ratio of the group velocity dispersion. A method for optical tomography consists in capturing a tomographic image of an object to be examined with using the apparatus for optical coherence tomography with interference light generated by interfering a reverse light with a measurement light emitted onto the object to be examined, with the reference light matched with the measurement light, and the measurement light and reference light contain a light having a band of wavelengths.
EFFECT: using the invention enables improving the vertical resolution when using the flood light in OCT.
