FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining pure ammonium perrhenate, as well as to highly pure ammonium perrhenate. Method of obtaining pure ammonium perrhenate by electrolysis includes obtaining water suspension, which contains technical ammonium perrhenate, addition of nitric acid, introduction of obtained suspension into cathode space of electrolytic cell, application of voltage, cathode reduction of nitric acid to nitrous acid, interaction of nitrous acid with ammonium ions of ammonium perrhenate with formation of aqueous perrhenic acid, separation of potassium ions from aqueous perrhenic acid and separation of pure ammonium perrhenate from perrhenic acid by addition of ammonia. Ammonium perrhenate represents crystalline agglomerate with size larger than 10 mcm, which contains less than 5 ppm of potassium. Also claimed is application of ammonium perrhenate as precursor for obtaining rhenium compounds and/or metal rhenium for application in superalloys or for application of coatings on X-ray rotating anodes.
EFFECT: invention provides efficient and environmentally friendly method of obtaining pure ammonium perrhenate.
